Lango Camp

One of Africa’s untouched landscapes lies a tranquil haven Lango Camp, a luxury eco-lodge like its sister camps Mboko Camp and Ngaga Camp. Lango Camp is located in the south-central part of Odzala-Kokoua National Park, the world’s second-largest tropical rainforest. The camp sits on the edge of savanna and a marshy bai that attracts huge flocks of African green pigeons and African grey parrots, and herds of forest buffalo and elephants.

Lango Camp’s 6 chalets have been strategically placed on stilts on the edge of Lango Baï with views out onto the open baï, one of the most arresting views of any camp in Africa. Each room has an en suite bathroom, its own walkaround deck, and ceiling fans. The lounge and dining area also overlook beautiful views of the area and is the best spot to relax and enjoy pre-dinner drinks.

The big drawcard to this lush rainforest paradise is gorilla trekking through the Marantaceae forest. Because of the camps ideal location near the water, it is the perfect place to explore the Lekoli and Mambili Rivers by motorboat, traditional pirogue, or even kayak. Expert guides also lead day and night game drives and walking safaris through the bai and savanna, and If you’re looking for a bit of local culture, head to nearby Mbomo village.
