Long Lee Manor Shamwari Game Reserve
Experience the exquisite grace of a bygone era at the elegant Long Lee Manor. Set on the Shamwari Game Reserve in the rugged Eastern Cape Province, the original Long Lee Manor house was built in 1910. Today, the masterfully restored manor house with its colonial style can accommodate up to 38 guests. The 19 ensuite rooms and spacious family suites are fitted with air-conditioning and under-floor heating.
This gracious Edwardian-style House exudes an atmosphere of luxury and ease, surpassing the norm for bush accommodation. The refined atmosphere is complemented by lovely views, French doors and expansive lawns. In springtime, the palm trees in the outdoor court area are alive with nesting weaver birds.
Long Lee Manor is ideal for families with children with its family suites, and the Sidbury Wing is tucked away from the manor house. Sumptuous meals are served in the main dining room or around the flickering open fire at the barn. There is also a river lapa for the option of alfresco dining.
Between game drives, guests are free to laze around the two swimming pools, relax in the garden lounge, or enjoy a rejuvenating treatment in the spa. Long Lee Manor is a nostalgic reminder of an era of gracious living.
