Tours in Katavi National Park

Katavi National Park, in the far west of Tanzania, is a truly raw and wild reserve – well off the main tourist track. The park centres on a series of wide flood plains, connected by a network of seasonal rivers.  These rivers are a hotspot for game viewing, particularly during Tanzania’s dry season.

Look forward to sightings of hippo crammed in the remaining pools, and crocodiles in caves in the muddy river banks. Buffalo and elephant gather at the rivers to drink, which attracts prides of lion and other predators.
