Andre Kruger

Africa Safari Expert

After his first trip to the Kruger National Park as a 5-year-old, Andre was hooked on Africa! It was a natural progression for him to then start his career in the safari and tourism industry. A career that’s now spanned 27 years of living out his dream.

He started his career in the early ’90s as a white-water rafting guide on the Zambezi River in Victoria Falls. In 2000, Andre joined a walking safari company in the Kruger and honed his skills in trail guiding (clocking over 10,000 hours on foot).

He’s guided at and managed safari lodges in the Kruger Park, Manyeleti, Timbavati, Klaserie and Sabi Sands game reserves. Fortunate to have obtained his Zambian Safari Guides Licence, Andre was able to work in the Lower Zambezi Valley, Barotse floodplain and Liuwa Plains. He’s also enjoyed commissioning, managing and guiding a safari lodge in the magnificent Serengeti.

Then Andre took a sabbatical from the bush for three years and obtained his “RYA Master of Yachts” licence, and captained a power charter yacht along the east coast of Africa operating out of the Bazaruto Archipelago. In 2009, he crewed in the Cape to Rio transatlantic yacht race.

To top it off, he’s represented the States President Team in Surf Angling; and is an avid fly fisherman! He’s got a deep passion for wildlife photography and had images published in the National Geographic. When Andre is not designing dream vacations, you can find him on the golf course or surfing on the coast.
