Karen Fielies

Senior Travel Consultant

My first venture in the tourism industry was when I worked at the Mount Nelson Hotel in 1999 as guest liaison. Afterwards, I worked in airline reservations and then moved into a tour operator role in 2003, specialising in groups, FIT and cruise ships. Following this, I gained product knowledge and experience at several operators.

I enjoy working with different clients and nationalities. Each traveller is unique, and therefore, each holiday experience should be different. Yet, my favourite aspect is putting together honeymoon itineraries because I’m a romantic.

My favourite destinations are the Kruger National Park and the Garden Route in South Africa; I love nature, animals and scenic drives.

When I’m not spending time with my “fur babies” (dogs), husband or mom on the weekend, I am exploring the Cape Winelands, enjoying a picnic or cooking.
