Kate Rethman

Africa Travel Expert

Kate’s passion for African travel began as a young child, with regular trips to the bush and beach on family holidays exploring southern Africa and its surrounds. It was her first self-drive trip through Botswana however, when she knew she wanted to make a career out of helping others explore the raw beauty of Africa for themselves. During her time in the industry she has had the opportunity to visit some of southern Africa’s most remote locations and loves destinations that are a bit “off the beaten track” from a make-shift mokoro trip through the Caprivi strip of Namibia, to walking in the wilderness of Mana Pools, no day is the same on safari, and she particularly enjoys ending it off with a G&T watching the sunset.

When Kate is not planning exciting African safaris for our clients she is sampling some of the new restaurants in her home city of Cape Town, or planning her next weekend away to explore Cape Town’s surrounds and what they have to offer.
