Vernon Wilson

Africa Travel Expert

Vernon’s love for the travel industry started in 2006 when, after completing a diploma in tour guiding, he went on to work as a nature and environmental guide for SANParks. He has worked for British Airways at Cape Town International Airport, as a reservations consultant for an overland tour operator, and as a travel agent at Flight Centre. At the end of five successful years at Flight Centre, he took a leap of faith and worked from home as an Independent Travel Consultant (ITC). After two years as an ITC, he decided to go back to a more structured working environment and found a suitable fit in Giltedge Africa.

He has many interests but the ones he is really passionate about are football, cooking and hiking. He loves the outdoors, and his idea of a fun night is sitting around a fire at a campsite, surrounded by the sound of nature.
