Service and product knowledge

' Friendly, awesome staff and service! '

Robyn helped me get connected with Washington very quickly and was helpful. Washington was absolutely a blessing - so nice and helpful and accurate and efficient, answering all of my questions and helping me through the process. Jolene also helped when Washington was out and I needed immediate assistance - she was friendly and got the job done well. Thanks, Giltedge!

I have booked with Gilt-edge many times. They always provide me with wonderful experiences and memories. Would not book an African trip with anyone else.

We booked our holiday with Gilt-edge the first time to South Africa. Washington was amazing at sorting out our itinerary and everything went very well, he always made sure we had arrived at our next destination and that everything was ok. We had the most memorable family holiday and do hope to come back one day soon ! Thank you Washington and to Gilt Edge.

For Giltedge it self it was good but with some areas for improvement : - I would have expected the service to encompass an on line checking and sending of boarding pass before the trip - entry to the VFalls sorted out by Giltedge in advance - late check in at the hotel arranged 9even with a standard room made available for day use) - The cruise organised by wild Horizon: 40 mins of pick ups in the van before going to the boat is too much. The cruise is on a very commercial part of the river, nothing much to see, just average. Otherwise accommodation at VF hotels, the Victoria Falls, the animals (we have seen elephants just between hotel and VFalls) were very good. - Rovos trip disappointing: Very average sceneries; one excursion only and then only in the train, it needs one more visit organised on the second day and finally I am surprised that there is no speaker/ guide on the train to give one hour morning and one hour afternoon presentaiotn on history, culture, art, geography, ethnics, economics... that was shared with other passengers, americans especially. Comfort and food on the train were gfood as well as services. Average age of clientel very high, like 70/75 and then I would advise not to recommend it to people under 60 minimum in general. - Finally the contqact at Giltedge was absolutely nice and available to answer questions even at week end but I would suggest that Giltedge put as a standard the a contact collaborator pro actively gives one call to nicely check on her/ his client, at one moment in time early in the trip.

I have done several trips with Giltedge. They are a fabulous tour operator and always meet our needs. Our accommodations are always first rate and the guides are wonderful. We get to see animals very upclose and personal.
